Derby Cocktail Tropicál
whisk(e)y
Sources: Potions of the Caribbean | South American Gentleman's Companion
From Max Bilgray's Tropic Bar, circa 1950, when Charles Baker printed it in his South American Gentleman's Companion. Like the Mojito, this drink is a Mint Julep with fruit juice. Unlike the Mojito, it doesn't swap the Julep's bourbon for rum -- perhaps because it was created after Repeal, when Kentucky's distilleries were exporting again.
