From the Hawaiian Room of the Hotel Lexington, New York City, New York, circa 1940s. At the time, Managing Director Charles E. Rochester lured the smart set to "the famous Hawaiian Room" with "an authentic setting complete even to the tropical rainstorm." There was also a dance floor, live Hawaiian music and "the famed Lexington cuisine."
