Created by Joe Scialom for the 007 Room of the London Hilton, 1964. Probably named after the M1 Garand rifle, even though James Bond never used one. An unpublished recipe from Joe's private papers.

Ingredients

• 1.25
  oz
  of Highland single malt scotch whisky
• 0.75
  oz
  of Cointreau triple sec liqueur
• 2.25
  oz
  of Tangerine/mandarin/clementine juice (fresh juice)
• 1
  dash
  of Angostura Aromatic Bitters

Steps

• Shake well with ice. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with a pineapple stick and sprig of borage.
